Really nice pen with a good weight for writing. Not heavy but certainly not a lightweight. I was surprised by how solid it really is. I have no need for the window breaker but I forget it is there and I have travelled through every major airport in Australia and even the notoriously difficult ones internationally such as LAX with this in my top pocket and no one has said boo. The finish on the clip is not perfect and you can see machining marks but for the price I can't fault anything else about it. I just wish they didn't scrawl "titainer" on the clip in what must be the ugliest script I have ever seen on a branded product. Much better design than other pens I have bought at much higher prices. I actually came back to this site to buy another but bronze is sadly sold out :(

Never having owned a titanium pen before (although I have seen a few others) I wasn't sure if I should rate it higher or lower.

Anyway it is very solid in it's construction and it does look like a regular pen like the description says. If I took a pen to the office that looked like a weapon they would be very annoyed (even fruit knives are frowned upon).

I do like the fact that it takes refills I can get anywhere. Trying to hunt through Office Works and every stationery store in the country is no fun. Or worse having to order refills from some oddball pen website wondering if you ordered the correct ones......

My only concern is losing a pen of this price. Pens have a habit of having other people walk off with them. I would have liked to be able to put a chain through the pen and hang it around my neck but that's still no guarantee someone won't run off with it.

To sum up - well constructed, takes common refills and does not look like a weapon. All plus points for me. These would make good gifts for friends or family.

I purchased one of these titanium pens while they were on sale and they are fantastic value.

Mine came with a Parker refill and a Space Pen refill (not sure if they mixed that up). The Parker refills can be purchased pretty well anywhere in the country as they are the most popular refill. The Space pen refills are not so easy to get but I ordered a few more from True Talon along with my pen.

The great thing about this pen is that it looks like a classy Executive pen but it still has a tactical feature - or glass breaker if you prefer - so it does not attract attention from security. I forgot about my pen in a recent trip to QLD and the airport guys only gave it a seconds glance.

Grab one of these while they are on sale - best value titanium pen - that doesn't look like a weapon.
