MAXACE KILLER WHALE 2.0 - MIDNIGHT CAT DESIGN

Following on from the hugely successful original, the Killer Whale 2.0 features several factors  to make this knife special, including the 3.86 inch Swedish ASP60 steel blade, a sculpted titanium handle, and incredibly smooth action thanks to the Maxace Multi Row Bearing System.

While ASP60 steel can be hardened as high as 70HRC; Maxace heat treats their ASP60 blades to 64-65 HRC to give the blade its optimum toughness and edge retention while still making it reasonably easy to sharpen.

Midnight Cat have eliminated the fluff catching holes from the original, to give this new model a more elegant look and to be more practical for use. It has fine milling on the handle so there's extra grip and gives the knife a nice refined look.

The Killer Whale 2.0 includes a sculptured titanium pocket clip or great retention,  3/4 length back spacer and comes in a padded nylon case for storage.

ASSAB ASP60 STEEL

ASP60 (Assab) - Extremely high alloy, high speed tool steel. Capable of very high red hot hardness, up to 68-70HRC. Highly wear resistant steel. Rather difficult to sharpen, especially at 68HRC and above, but holds the edge really well. Japanese company KIYA produces kitchen knives using Hitachi HAP72 steel, which is Hitachi's version of the alloy,
