K-3 from Reate. Returning for a short time.

This version features a top of the line Carpenter CTS-204P blade steel (Carpenters version of M390), drop point style blade, Titanium handle and a Carbon Fiber inlay, making this one beautiful and functional knife.

The K-3 is quite a futuristic looking knife - especially compared to its more traditional brother the K-4. It would be right at home on any Sci-Fi movie set with its angular design. But the K-3 is a practical versatile knife and those multi-row bearings can swing its 3.75 inch blade out very smoothly and very fast. The Carpenter steel blade excels at powering through large cutting jobs.

Reate's heat treatment is right up there with the best of them, and their special freezing process during sharpening ensures  the heat treatment is not damaged from excessive heat.

Simply Superb

The K-3 looks big in photos and it is reasonably large with a 3.75 inch blade. The semi futuristic design might not be to everyone’s taste either but it’s a hell of a knife.

Whatever Reate actually do to treat their blades certainly makes them tough and durable. The knife is very comfortable to hold and I have no hotspots when holding it. The sweet part of the K-3 is the multi row bearings that fire that big blade out like a rocket.

This is what every knife should aspire to be IMO.
